One thinking that came into my mind today. I was asking my mum to sign the consent form for the chocolate day, explaining to her the objective of this chocolate day is to raise funds for the president challenge, break world record and nurturing a caring heart from the students, giving them a chance to contribute to the society and all. I was speaking to her in a really happy and nice tone. Then she looked up,stared at me and asked, Is this event going to be of any help to your o'levels?
Then something pierced into my heart. I kept quiet and collected the signed form from her and walked into my room asking myself one question, what matters most to the parents? Is it Extremely good results or is it a child with the correct mindset and caring heart towards the people around them? hmm.. i really wonder. Sometimes, parents expected good grades from their child and neglect the basic things that they should first expect from them, which is the correct mindset and attitude. Really wonder. If one day a special person grant one parent this wish, ' here are 2 choices for you to choose from, to be your child. A child who is extremely clever and excellent in his/her results, however his/her heart is as dry as the desert, all he/her knows is to study and study and study, neglecting the whole world and everyone around him/her. While the 2nd child is only average in his/her results, however his/her is very caring to everyone and the whole world around him/her. Which child will the parent choose?? hmm... really wonder. But all I could say is both the results and the correct mindset and attitude is very important. So I hope that parents could make a balanced for their child. Let them realised that everything is important and they should not neglect anything. Haix. I also begining to get confused with what I am typing. But I hope i didn't confused anyone reading this.
