After looking at the past, now i can start updating my blog with the trip at Thailand!! =)
____|' *First day* '|____
[23rd of May 2005, Mon]
Went to the airport with my family members at around 2 plus, only my elder sis was missing in sending me off. Heex =D Reach the airport around 3 plus. Saw Rasul only, couldn't find the rest of Team Temasek. So I walked around the airport with my family members. Don't know where to go, haha =P, feel LOST =x. Lucky I am not alone. hees... Finally saw alot of Team Temasek members as well as some other Temasekians who came to send us off. =) Then all of us gathered, check-in and had a briefing as well as taking a group photo. I was very happy that day, it was my first time taking plane. Very excited and I don't know what to do and stuffs. Guessed I was like a country pumpkim. Everything don't know. So glad that my fmaily members, Lek, Royce, Xiao Yan, Kang Sheng and Xing Wei came to send us off. Of course some other people too, Claire, Henry, Zhu Ying, Ryan and Brian. However, a bit sad, cause some of them don't even know I was in Team Temasek too...haha =D but never mind, it don't matter. Just wanna say thanks to them and I love u guys lots!! Of course those hu send me message and wish me bon voyage people... Love allz! =) Sadly, I cried at the airport. I am not supposed to cry! But i still did. All because of some people, make me can't control my heavy tears in my eyes. Actually, I cried wasn't because of some small matters. However some more things too. But never mind... It don't matter. =) Soon it was about time to get in. All of us had a short briefing, then we took a group photo with all people that came to send us off, Then we took off for the JOURNEY!! =) I was really touched that day, hugged alot of people. Can't bear to leave Singapore and them. First time boarding a plane, of course very happy and excited. We quickly settled all the documents stuffs, and finally we went into the plane. It was soooooo COOLZ!! =) I was so curious with the plane. Look around, and so stupid that I don't even know how to fasten the seat belt. Finally the plane took off. I was so scared...But the scenery calm me down. It was so beautiful!!!!!!! I will never ever forget the scenery I saw on the plane. Then we took some pictures and play on the plane. We didn't eat. Cause the plane we took was Tiger Airlines and it is a budget airplane. So u noe how expensive the food was and we have to buy ourselves. Hahaha... =D We didn't grumble much cos we noe it is budget. haha... =D
Although, the plane has some other foreigners, but we somehow didn't care and took the plane as if it belongs to ourselves. We laugh and play loudly. It was kind of carefree time. haha... =) Finally we reached Phuket! And it was 7 plus. I was like laughing at the 'time'. Because we took off from Singapore at around 6.40pm and we reached Phuket at only 7pm for Thailand time, which was like the flight took only 15 mins? haha.. =x Then we board a bus which i think was special, however a normal bus in Thailand. Hees... =D The bus was a double decker one, but the lower part is for lugguages and upper part for us to sit. We board the bus to a place where we met Mr Oh, Mr Toh and Mr Lim. These 3 mascular guys went to Khao Lak earlier to help us get stuffs that we need and help us made proper, good arrangements and made a strong base for us to carry out our jobs easily. They had helped us to dug the hole for Gazebo too. These 3 guys are GREAT! Then we went to have our dinner! It was yummy!! Then we head for the Merlin Phuket Hotel! We pack our stuffs properly, have a briefing and some ice-breakers games with our facillitators, then we went for shower and sleep. That's the end of the first day. It was simple and sweet! And was a Great start for my dream! I love it. I will never forget the scenery on the plane. Love all so much! =)
____|' *Second day* '|____
[24th of May 2005, Tues]
We woke up very early at 5 plus to get ready our stuffs and pack up for check out. We had our breakfast at the basement restaurant at around 6 plus. That was a buffet breakfast! It was yummy. The rest of the students were already on their way to Pahang at that time. =D We guys had a great breakfast, after that we check-out and started heading for the Ban Bang Muang School in Khao Lak. The trip totally took like about 2 plus hours! On the bus we were like talking, looking out of the windows at beautiful scenery, laughing about and sleeping of course! =p But the time still seems to pass so slowly. We were like disturbing one another with the 4 words 'ARE WE THERE YET?' haha... =D Finally, we REACHED the school at aroung 11 plus!! =) We took all our lugguages and put in the library. Then we explore the whole school, going into each class to say hi. The school is very very special to me. It was big! They have children from 2 plus years old all the way up to 17 years old like that! It was like, childcare cum primary cum secondary school kids! It was so interesting! I took lots of photos. Then we went for lunch with the kids. The lunch was still okay to me. =) After lunch, the guys shift their stuffs to SALC, a classroom. While we gurls leave our stuffs in the library. The gurls are lucky! We got an air-conditioned place to slept in, while the guys,a classroom with no air-conditioned. =p
Then we started playing some ice-breakers games with some of the Thai Kids which will help us in our english cum fun day planning. I guess they are the student leaders of the school.. I am glad that they enjoyed themselves and we know more about them... =D Although we couldn't communicate with one another as they only know Thai and a bit of simple english and we only know english and a bti of simple Thai. Therefore, language was a great barrier between us. I was so super glad that we have Anavil and Tawan. I believed that they are great pillars to our success of the whole thing and they worked the most as they had to be the translator and middle persons between us and the Thai people. The 2 of them deserve great rewards for their hardwork! =) Then, we started some of our big projects. Some of us went to do Gazebo while the rest started painting one whole building of the school. We have to finish the pillars of the GaZebo by today and tomorrow and we have to finish painting the interior and exterior of 8 classrooms by today and tomorrow. The painting was a great start rare experience for me. =) It was my first time painting and I love that job alot! Because It was fun and great! =D I painted with some others till quite late. Then I waited to take a bath. Waited so long... =( Because the toilets are like one, alot of cubicles wan, was like very far and DARK! NO lights at all. So no one dare to go there, then the guys only one toilet has NO lights too, and there are holes where people can peep in. So no one wans to bath there too... Then we left with one and only toilet, the gurls toilet... =( So I waited for very very long. Finally after bath. Then we had briefing and games with our facilitators. Not a very good day for me today. haha... except for the painting. But the bathing part was really sad... cos i got impatient a bit. =x afterall... it was a good day! =) Then we slept on the floors at around 1 plus. That's the end of the day, quite fun and tiring.... =) The first night at the school was still okay. Just that still not used to the dark and eriee place. And I got lots of mosquitos bites...=X Just hoped I don't get malaria or dengue when I get back Singapore... =X

[25th of May 2005, Wed]
The second day in the school... We woke up very early! At around 5 plus we woke up. We pack the whole library nicely, changed, and went for breakfast! The first breakfast at the school was still okay.. however, abit too heavy for us. =x Then we went back to the library and had briefing about what we supposed to do today. Then we quickly went to finish as much painting we can for that day. Some of the people went to make the cement for the GazeBo. Jacquelyn was great! Because she was the only gurl who helped out in the building of GazeBo! She proved our gurls proud and show the gurl power... She rox! Then the rest of us went to do painting.The children were having lessons while we paint. We painted for the whole morning. So tired... During our painting, Audrey and Michelle made bread for us, who are hungry to eat, while the rest continue painting hard. Thanks lots. Then we painted most of the exterior of the classrooms, and went for lunch at around 12 plus. We then continue to paint the classrooms with the help of the Thai students... They really helped us alot, by painting some parts of the interior classrooms... =) I realized that the Thai people are really kind and helpful and friendly... =) At around 2 plus, we stopped our work for painting and went to have some games with the Thai student leaders, to bond and know them better. However, the GazeBo people are the only ones who have to continue working while we play. Feel so bad and wanna help them, but I cant... =( Guess I am just too useless... haha... =p We had a great fun with the Thai students! After the games, some of the Thai student leaders stay back and help us to finish more painting work. Finally it was dinner time, and the GazeBo people have finished their work which they had to do.. They finished their 4 pillars and finished making the floor of the Gazebo... They are GREAT! However, painting still could not finish and we had to continue after dinner till we finished a great part of it... The dinner was great though... After dinner we continue painting and painting... However, the games I/Cs for tomorrow fun day was let go earlier to plan for the stuffs... So today I managed to bathe earlier and started to get ready for tomorrow stuffs... That day was really a tiring and headache one for me.. We did lots of last minute plannings and alot of problems faced... The preparation for my game was long too.. I couldn't even finished all the preparation till 12 plus while other group had already finished...The painting people rest at around 11 plus and bathe and came to help in planning... glad to get all help for them.. If not I am sure I couldn't finish... =( Finally finish stuffing all balloons with papers... Finally can rest.. However, we waited for audrey and michelle to finish bathing.. So I slept at aroung 2 plus... only 2 - 3 hours of sleep.. I guessed wednesday was the MOST tiring for all of us... =x haha... But I am glad that all of us work as a team to get our work done... Glad that the GazeBo, one of our planning had succeed as planned... =) Today was a long day for all of us... =)
____|' *Fourth day* '|____
[26th of May 2005, Thurs]
2-3 hours of sleep, but I still managed to hold on for the whole day... =X haha... Finally the start of our 3rd day at school... =) Had breakfast, another heavy one... Then I quickly went to pump as many balloons as I can...My group members spend the whole day preparing for the balloons...pump and pack all into bags of 20... Then the start of the whole english cum fun day! =x With the help of the Thai student leaders, our planning was a GREAT success... despite the many last minute changes and problems faced... =) All the kids enjoyed the game and learn some new english words.. Seeing the smiling faces of all of them... my mind and heart came to a relief.. and the sight of success is one that no one can underdstand and describe.. I was really laughing and smiling in my heart so much... =) I was really great and impressed by the Thai student leaders... Although there were communication problems between us, but all of us seems to understand what we wanted to say.. And the way the execute the planning and games really really impressed me alot! I can't believe... They are really great! All thanks to Anavil and Ta Wan who helped to make them know the game so well.. All thanks to the 2 of them hardwork for translating what we wanted to say to all of them... the 2 of them are great... real great... without them... nothing will be such a success... =) The Thai student leaders really did a great job.. I wanted to thanks all of them... If not for them, I wouldn't see the happy and enjoyed faces of the Thai students... =) That day although tiring and we did the same game over and over again, But I still enjoyed myself alot... Finally the whole english cum fun day ended at 4 plus... After the whole thing, we played with the Thai student leaders, thanks them and bid goodbye to them, then we continued with all our last painting for the school. Unfortunately, we still couldn't finish as the paint was finished! We were so sad, as tomorrow we are leaving the school! We had already see the sucess of 2 planning... We wanted to see the last one... But there is nothing more we can do , however to wait for tomorrow early in the morning to buy paint..=x Today was another long day for us and the teachers... They made photo frame of beautiful pictures for the students as sovenirs by us the whole day... Wanna say thanks to them.. =) Amazingly, today we managed to bathe early.. =) haha... Then we finished all the painting we can do with the remaining of so little paint. Then we had debrief , and we packed our stuffs for tomorrow leave and wrapped up the gifts for tomorrow... After that, the whole day ended.. with the seeing of success of another projects... =)
____|' *Fifth Day* '|____
[27th of May 2005, Fri]
Today was a shopping and relaxing day for us!! However, before we leave the school, we have to leave behind some memories for them and finished all the painting we can by today..=) Early in the morning, we woke up, then we packed up the stuffs, clear up the library and SALC and went for our last breakfast in school.. =') Then we prepared the gifts to present to them at their assembly. As it was our last day, the children seems to know about it, and many or them came so early to bid goodbye to us and crowd outside the library to take photos and come of us gifts... haha.. That sight was really an unforgetable one...During the assembly,The school population was like only our school sec 3s population. The kids were so cute...they were like line up according to their age and level... Therefore can see an ascending order of height.. so cute... their national athemn and their singing was so cute as well.. It was really a rare experience to see the scene.. I will never forget! Then Mr Oh, Anavil and Ta Wan had their speech, foloow by the presentation of sovenirs to the kids.. =) Finally whole assembly ended with our Temasek Cheer! After that we quickly went to help them to finish painting and clear up the whole library, leaving it as clean as before.. We even took a photo and video taped the last drop of paint we did for the school... It was really so memorable...=') Although we couldn't finish painting the whole school, but we managed to did the most of what we can do... so i guessed we still success... and we managed to leave the school seeing the 1/4 roof of the Gazebo finished,it was already a super great success for me.. Finally we left the school with memories leaving behind and the scene of the kids waving bye to us... It was a scene that I will remeber for life and forever... I began to love the place and putting it is my memory bottle in the heart forever.. I love Ban Bang Muang school.. =) Then is another start for us... our shopping DAY!! =) We went to buy clothes at a stall.. Then we went to a beautiful restaurant for lunch.. I took lots of photos there and brought some sovenirs back... That place was so beautiful that I don't feel like leaving.. =x haha... =D Then we went back to the same hotel, check in and left our lugguage.. Then shopping time again! We went to Patong Beach to shop... That place was hit by the Tsunami.. But I didn't realized until Anavil told us... It look as if It was still new... But the beach was really really beautiful.. AND i managed to get a glimpse of the sunset!!!! I was so happy... Then we shop there for 3 plus hours.. But I only brought a bag for my mum.. That's all.. =( I still didn't shope enough.. But got no choice.. We ate our dinner at a super fast rate then we rushed to make sure we are not late for the bus... It was so rush.. that we nearly leave mr Oh and mr Toh behind and everyone nearly PUKE all our dinner out... =x Imagine urself running after forcing urself to eat until so full... =X Finally back to the hotel... We had briefing and gift presentation at the hotel hall.. We gave the 4 teachers gift, say our feelings for them and they say theirs to us.. Then we present our gifts to them... And tell them how much we love them.. Finally we went back to our rooms for bath and it was already 2 plus.. So some of us did not sleep.. Instead, we went for party at room 525, which is Sam's room...Haha.. we watch TV, ate tibits and of course the most fun is the pillow fight... !!! That was the best night of the whole trip!! And some parts of the pillow fight, I couldn't really say what happened exactly.. cos it is to protect the face of some people... haha... =x Anyway it was really fun! Lucky I wasn't throw with pillows... haha... =D The night just ended with fun and laughter... The day was really one of the very best~! I love the trip... I love it lots.. I know lots of stuffs, know more people and gain an experience that is a very very rare one... And of course I fulfilled my dream! I really love it... I promised myself that I will do whatever volunteery work I can find... I will love all with my heart.. =)

[28th of May 2005, Sat]
The whole trip had came to an end.... Today was the day back to Singapore.. my homeland.. After this whole trip, I really know how to cherish things better.. I really see the beauty of Singapore.. I also learnt alot of stuffs... I had also learnt how to love all the things around me... =) I am really much happier... I couldn't bear to leave the place.. I also wanted to get back to my beautiful homeland.. I believe one day I will go back to Thai again.. to see the school again... =) Finally we headed to the airport again, At the airport, I brought somemore stuffs.. cos I wanted to spend the remaining money off... Then finally took the flight back to Singapore.. On the plane.. again, we were like playing around as if the whole plane belong to us.. guess we really disturbed others alot.. haha... =D took some photos again... and collect everyone emails and phone no... =D Finally back to Sinagpore.. we took a group photo again... =) Then we collect our lugguages and went back home... So happy that my family came to fetch me back... =') So touched to see them waiting for me at the arrival hall...=') Then I went back home and un pack all stuffs and sleep.. heehee... =D The whole trip just came to an end.. In my heart are all beautiful and memorable memories... wished I could go to this type trip again... Real hoped... =) Love allz...
